Piet Hein lived from 16 December 1905 to 14 April 1996 he was a Danish author, designer and inventor.
Piet Hein studied at the Royal Swedish Fine Arts in Stockholm, was a student of Albert Engström and Wilhelm Schmidt. He studied philosophy and theoretical physics at the University of
Copenhagen, where he was inspired by Jørgen Jørgensen and Niels Bohr.
After living many years in Rungsted he lived outside of London from 1969 to 1976. Later he
settled on the island of Fyn manor.
Piet Hein’s world-renowned Superellipse form the basis for a new series of vases and bowls from Piet Hein.
Piet Hein vase is made of mouth-blown lead-free glass in different colors. Vase classic form comes beautifully expressed, whether it’s with a few flowers a bouquet or as a sculpture in
itself.
My own experience: I grew up in a home where we had Piet Hein lamps, which have a beautiful and timeless design and provide a pleasant light.

Piet Hein studerede ved Kungliga svenska Konsthögskolan i Stockholm, var elev hos Albert Engström og Wilhelm Schmidt. Han studerede filosofi og teoretisk fysik ved Københavns
Universitet, hvor han blev inspireret af Jørgen Jørgensen og Niels Bohr.
Efter at have boet mange år i Rungsted boede han uden for London fra 1969 til 1976. Sidenhen slog han sig ned på den fynske herregård.
Piet Heins verdenskendte Superellipse danner grund for en ny serie af vaser og skåle fra Piet Hein.
Piet Hein vasen er fremstillet i mundblæst blyfrit glas i forskellige farver.
Vasens klassiske form kommer smukt til udtryk, hvad enten det er med et par enkelte blomster,
en buket eller som en skulptur i sig selv.
Mine egne erfaringer: Jeg er vokset op i et hjem hvor vi havde Piet Hein lamper, som har et smukt og tidløs design og giver en behagelig lys.
