Hans Christian Andersen was born on 2 April 1805 in Odense and died on the 4th August 1875 in Copenhagen.
Hans Christian Andersen was a Danish poet and author who is world famous for his fairy tales such as The Ugly Duckling, The Little Mermaid, The Nightingale and The Princess and the Pea.
He was also known for his bouquets and paper clips, and is believed to have invented the merged Danish Christmas heart.
In Denmark there are several statues of Hans Christian Andersen, including Henry Luckow-Nielsen statue at the City Hall Square in Copenhagen.
My own experience: I was raised on the Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tales, which I thought was huge exciting.
Stories like my parents read aloud before going to sleep.
