Copenhagen Food Fair

Copenhagen food fairEvery year in February the Food fair is either held in Copenhagen or Herning.
This year 2015 the food fair is held in Bella Center in Copenhagen from Sunday, February 22, 2015 to Tuesday, 24 February 2015. The fair is reserved for professionals in the hospitality
industry.

At the fair are a myriad of exhibitors in all types of food, wine, kitchen furniture, restaurant furniture, and more. During the fair the competition Chef of the Year, servant of the year, the
Danish candidacy for the Bocuse d’or and many other are held.

Beside that ecological today and many other exciting activities is held.

My own experience: I have for many years attended the food fair. Each year, it has been a great pleasure to visit the exhibitors, savor some food and watch the various competitions.

In Danish: Hvert år afholdes Food fair i februar måned i enten København eller Herning.
I år 2015 afholdes messen i Bella Center i København fra søndag den 22. februar 2015 til tirsdag den 24. februar 2015. Messen er forbeholdt fagfolk indenfor restaurationsbranchen.

På messen findes et utal af udstillere indenfor alle typer fødevarer, vine, køkkeninventar, restaurantmøbler og meget andet. I løbet af messen kåres Årets kok, årets tjener, den danske kandidatur til Bocuse d’or og mange andre spændende konkurrencer.

Dertil afholdes økologisk dag og mange andre spændende aktiviteter.

Mine egne erfaringer: Jeg har i mange år deltaget på fødevaremessen. Det har hvert år været en stor fornøjelse at besøge udstillerne, smage på lidt mad og se de forskellige konkurrencer.

Ice dessert from Michelin chef Rasmus KofoedIn October 2014 the Michelin chef Rasmus Kofoed from restaurant Geranium launched in close cooperation with WinterSpring 3 different ice dessert whih can be purchased in selected stores from gourmet supermarket Irma and online through their website.
The ice dessert has just recently won the price of foodstuffs as the most innovative product in 2014.
In October 2014 the Michelin chef Rasmus Kofoed from restaurant Geranium launched in close cooperation with WinterSpring 3 different ice dessert whih can be purchased in selected stores from gourmet supermarket Irma and online through their website. The ice dessert has just recently won the price of foodstuffs as the most innovative product in 2014.  My own experience: A year ago I tasted several of the ice cream Rasmus Kofoed made there is only one thing to say. It is the most amazing tasty ice cream I have tasted to date. Their flavor is sharp and clean taste. It is ice cream which I highly recommend.  In Danish: I oktober 2014 lancerede Michelin-kokken Rasmus Kofoed fra restaurant Geranium i tæt samarbejde med Winterspring 3 forskellige is der kan købes i udvalgte butikker hos gourmet supermarkedet Irma og online via deres hjemmeside. Isene har for ganske nyligt vundet fødevareprisen som den mest innovative produkt i 2014.  Mine egne erfaringer: Jeg har for et år siden smagt flere af de is som Rasmus Kofoed laver, der er kun et at sige. Det er de mest fantastiske velsmagende is, jeg har smagt til dags dato. De er knivskarp og rene i smagen. Det er is som jeg varmt kan anbefale. Rasmus Kofoed talks about his Bocuse d’Or adventures

Restaurant Geranium was founded in September 2010 by the world’s best chef and Bocuse d’Or winner Rasmus Kofoed and co-owner and restaurant manager Søren Ledet.
Geranium has in a very short time made itself internationally noticed with Rasmus Kofoed’s
exclusive and unique interpretation of the Nordic cuisine.
The restaurant has been awarded 2 Michelin stars and is currently (2013) placed at number 45 on the list “The Wold’s 50 best restaurants in 2013”.

My own experience: I have eaten 2 times at Geranium, both in 2012 and 2013 and also via my gourmet network Sakana – Club Gourmet which held an event where Rasmus Kofoed gave a very interesting talk on his adventure to the Bocuse d’Or and the title of world’s best chef.

Their menu offers many exciting dishes, and each dish is a great gastronomic experience.
The restaurant is beautifully decorated with a lovely atmosphere. The staff is welcoming,
discrete and service is top notch.

In Danish: Restaurant Geranium blev grundlagt i september 2010 af verdens bedste kok
og Bocuse d’Or vinder Rasmus Kofoed og medejer restaurantchef Søren Ledet.
Geranium har på kort tid gjort sig internationalt bemærket med Rasmus Kofoeds eksklusive og unikke fortolkning af det nordiske køkken.
Restauranten er blevet tildelt 2 Michelin-stjerner og har på nuværende tidspunkt (2013) en
placering som nr. 45 på listen over de 50 bedste restauranter i verden.

Mine egne erfaringer: Jeg har spist 2 gange på Geranium, både i 2012 og 2013 også har via mit gourmetnetværk Sakana – Club Gourmet der holdt en event, hvor Rasmus Kofoed holdt et spændende foredrag om sin rejse til Bocuse d’Or og titlen verdens bedste kok 2011.

Deres menukort byder på mange spændende retter, og hver ret er en stor gastronomisk oplevelse.
Restauranten er smukt indrettet med en skøn atmosfære.  Personalet er imødekommende, diskrete og servicen er i top.
